Satellite Services
The East Brighton neighbourhood team also provides ‘satellite’ work across the area.
The team is a mix of healthcare and voluntary sector staff, such as social prescribers, pharmacists, GPs, physiotherapists, and digital support staff. They are focused on reaching out to support the community and build relationships with local groups and organisations. They will meet with groups and attend events to identify health and social care needs, provide information and advice, signpost to other services and support, promote digital inclusion, and improve access to health services. The team can help people access:
the NHS App
local community support
information on services at their GP practice
simple interventions such as blood pressure readings or medication advice.
By working together in these local settings, the team supports people in managing their health more independently, reduces pressure on traditional care services, and helps bridge the digital divide within the community.
Satellite events are held at a number of locations and through various local community groups and organisations. These include St George’s Hall in Moulscoomb, The Bevy in Moulscoomb, and, from September 2025, Saltdean Lido.
This part of the neighbourhood work is supported by Deans and Central Brighton PCN.
